JAMMU, Dec 26: The Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP) today flagged off a group of 70 students from the Jammu zone for the 25th Rashtra Katha Shivir Yatra.
The event, organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu, took place at the Officers Mess, Gulshan Ground, Jammu.
The students, along with five caretakers, will participate in the Rashtra Katha Shivir, which will be held in Rajkot, Gujarat, from December 28, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
The program, hosted by Shri Vedic Mission Trust, aimed to inspire youth through motivational sessions and teach essential life skills.
Under the guidance of ADGP Jammu, Anand Jain, the Jammu Police have made all necessary arrangements for the students, including lodging, boarding, and customized kits containing clothing and essentials.
DIG JSK Range, Shiv Kumar, congratulated the students and wished them success.
He highlighted the importance of the event in fostering national integration, social harmony, and personal growth.
He encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity to learn, grow, and appreciate the diversity of India.
The initiative received praise from both parents and students, who thanked the J&K Police for organizing the enriching experience.
Among those present at the flag-off ceremony were Irshad H Rather, SP Headquarters Jammu, Rabinder Singh, DySP DAR, DPL Jammu, and S Narinder Singh, ADO ZPHQ Jammu.
