JAMMU, Aug 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu Zone has introduced a 24×7 election helpline at PCR Jammu, reachable at 88993-34482 to address the spread of objectionable content on the social media that could undermine electoral integrity.
Following directives from the Election Commission, this helpline is aimed at swiftly dealing with messages that violate election laws and the Model Code of Conduct, said a police official.
He requested the citizens to forward any such messages, along with the sender’s details, to the helpline.
“On receiving these messages, the police will promptly investigate their origin and take legal action as mandated by the Election Commission,” he said.
