JAMMU, Aug 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Akhnoor area here claimed to have solved a cheating case by seizing 138 bags of duplicate cement.
According to a police spokesperson, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Akhnoor by one Sudershan Sharma son of Ramesh Chander of 40 Sawitri South Delhi regarding sale of duplicate cement of Ultra Tech Company in Akhnoor area.
On this, the police spokesperson said, a case FIR number 240/2023 under section 420 of the IPC was registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
During investigation, special police teams of Police Station Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma assisted by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq conducted raids at different shops in Akhnoor and accordingly recovered 138 bags of duplicate Ultra Tech Cement bags from Choudhry Traders Shop Akhnoor, he said.
Further investigation in the case is on, added the police spokesperson.
