JKP signs MoU with FCI to train NoK of martyrs

JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Food Craft Institute (FCI) in order to provide skill development training to the Next of the Kin (NoK) of the martyrs.
Under the agreement, FCI, Jammu will design course, train, do assessment and certification of trainees for creating employability and sustainable livelihood. The selected candidates will go under one and half year diploma course in different streams that includes food production, food and beverage operations, bakery and confectionary, front office and reception, and housekeeping and maintenance.
As per a statement, the objective of the MoU signed by DIG Administration PHQ, Sarah Rizvi, is to encourage entrepreneurship amongst the NoK of the martyrs of J&K Police for their rehabilitation.
“The wards of serving police personnel shall also be considered for the same skill development programme in due course of time,” reads the press statement.
Pertinently, the idea behind the partnership was highlighted in the goal and aim of the Empower and Enabled Project designed and executed by Maahira Mahajan, studying at UWC Atlantic in the UK and Aditya Mahajan studying in UWC Southeast in Singapore.
