JKPCC celebrates Kharge’s election as AICC president

JAMMU, Oct 19: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee today celebrated the victory of senior Congress leader, Mallikarjun Kharge as the president of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) expressing confidence that the party would flourish under Kharge’s leadership.
The jubilant Congress functionaries were witnessed dancing at the beat of drums and exchanging sweets at the JKPCC headquarters Jammu. The celebrations were led by J&K Pradesh Congress Committee’s working president Raman Bhalla.
Bhalla extending heartiest congratulations to the newly elected Congress president said that with his vast experience as a leader, Kharge will add value and take the party to newer heights.  He  said Kharge’s “experience, commitment and insights will drive the Congress in the right direction and it is a proud moment for all of us.  He hoped Kharge’s election would help the party in Assembly polls next year.
Bhalla further said that Kharge, due to his vast experience was elected a record nine times to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly before entering in national politics.  He said Kharge’s immense experience with the party and loyalty to it has helped him rise to the top position.
“I wish that the party benefits from Kharge’s election. Under his leadership, the Congress will continue to fight to protect the Constitution and democracy,” he added.
“Congress party has the ability to stand up to the expectations of the people. We are ready to put all our efforts to transform the organisation of the party,” he said.
