JAMMU, Oct 2: Expressing surprise over the alleged delegation of authority to former Health Ministers to review functioning of hospitals, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has questioned capacity in which BJP leaders have reviewed functioning of GMC Jammu and associated hospitals.
Questioning the Lt Governor over the extra constitutional authority of ex-ministers to take review in any official meeting, JKPCC in a handout called it an insult to senior most doctors and faculty and added that it means the Advisors to the Governor are incapable to handle the situation.
“It is surprising how the Advisor Incharge Health and Medical Education, Chief Secretary as well as Commissioner Health and Medical Education Department allowed this to happen,” Congress handout stated.
The party also charged MP Jugal Kishore of misusing his position by unauthorizedly taking his party leaders along to official meeting and said this has insulted the institution and the senior most serving doctors.
The handout also stated that the Lt Governor should immediately take a cognizance of the matter.
