JKPCC flays police for preventing boy’s murder

JAMMU, May 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed great anguish over the shocking incident of mysterious death of a minor boy Ritik of Satwari area, who was allegedly murdered and termed it a complete failure of the system to take a quick and timely action to prevent this gruesome incident.
In a press statement JKPCC vice president and former minister Raman Bhalla and chief spokesperson of the party, Ravinder Sharma expressed deep shock and grief over the loss of a precious life of a minor boy belonging poor family and said that a quick and timely action could have probably prevented the great tragedy. The recovery of the body in the same locality, proves that the deceased was kept in the same locality during past four days but the police failed to trace him, which is very unfortunate.
Bhalla who visited the bereaved family soon after the incident on Sunday, shared the grief and sorrow of the family. He endorsed the demand of the family for adequate financial relief and help to the family to meet their needs.
They demanded that the responsibility for the failure and inefficiency should be fixed to restore confidence in the family and the public.
