JAMMU, Feb 6: A delegation of JKPCC piece workers and contractors called on Managing Director, JKPCC Vikas Kundal today and demanded release of their pending payments worth over Rs 30 crores.
The delegation led by Rakesh Jalali, president of the Association which met sixth time during last three months to the higher authorities, alleged that Government was not serious towards their issues. They said each time only assurances are given while the contractors are facing lot of hardships. They have completed many Government projects but their bills are not being cleared.
They urged upon the Lt Governor J&K UT, Commissioner/ Secretary PW(R&B) and the MD JKPCC to clear their pending bills as many of them were facing battle of their survival.
