JKPDC daily wagers protest

RAMBAN, Apr 1: Daily wagers of JKPDC working at 900 MW BHEP Chanderkote held a protest outside the office of Chief Engineer BHEP at Chanderkote on Friday.
They were demanding release of salaries. They said that their salaries have been pending for the last three months due to which their families are facing problems.
They raised slogans against the management of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation.
President Daily Wagers and Need Based Workers Union BHEP Chanderkote,  Ibadat Ali threatened that if  their salaries are not released no other option will be left except stopping generation of electricity from the Project at Chanderkote.
They said the salaries of some of the workers have been pending for the last two years.
They have sought the intervention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha , Commissioner Secretary Power Niteshwar Kumar for releasing their salaries.
Chief Engineer (Electrical) BHEP Chanderkote, VK Sangral said that he has brought the matter into the notice of higher authorities.
