Srinagar, Oct 12: J&K Panthers Party (JKPP) today lashed out at the LG-led Administration on the decision by the Administrative Council that allowed the selling of beer and other beverages at the departmental stores in J&K.
He also criticized the Government for failing in regulating the movement of the fruit-laden trucks on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
Addressing a press conference here, Hakikat Singh, General Secretary of the party expressed great concern about the failure of the LG administration regarding the problems faced by the people associated with the fruit industry in view of the regulation of fruit-laden trucks and other perishable items on NH 44.
“Fruit industry is facing the worst situation in history due to total failure of the administration and fruit growers /fruit businessmen are the worst sufferers and the Govt must address this issue on a war footing,” he said.
In the same instance, he said that the JKPP opposes any move of the Government to allow the sale of wine in departmental stores, which he said, will be disastrous for society and will ruin the life of youth.
He urged the Government to revoke such an order immediately.
He also said that the party opposes the recent order by the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu to allow/include any name in the electoral rolls.
“This is a direct attack on the electoral system of the state. We will fight tooth and nail for its revocation,” he said.
Further, he urged the Government to directly talk to the migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees who are protesting in Jammu rather than adopting pressure tactics.
“Let the Government publicly declare that the situation is conducive for them to join duties and there is no threat,” he said.
