JKPPAP takes out protest rally against Govt

POONCH, Apr 10: Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Awamy Party (JKPPAP) today took out a protest rally from village Kanuyian to Nakhan Wali Chowk against the State Government.
A large number of JKPPAP activists led by Ch Mohd Younis Chauhan, JKPPAP president and Raja Mohd Abbas Khan, patron of the party assembled at village Kanuyian and took out a protest rally upto Nakhan Wali Chowk Poonch.
The protesters were raising slogans against the PDP-BJP collation Government in the State, demanding early completion of SK Bridge near Poonch city, which was damaged in September 2014 floods.
The protesters were also demanding rehabilitation of those families whose houses were damaged due to flood and landslides in 2014, and compensation for their (flood victims) damaged houses.
They were also demanding compensation to the farmers whose lands were damaged by floods and landslides in Pir Panjal region.
The protesters criticized the Poonch administration for diverting Poonch River towards Village Kanuyian and Village Mangnar. They warned the Government of dire consequences if their demands are not met.
Later, the protesters held protest dharna at Nakhan Wali Chowk.
Zorawar Singh Shabaz, general secretary of the party, Mohd Shafi Khatana, district president of the party for Poonch and many other leaders including Naseer Ahmed, Abdul Rehman, Mohd Afzal Chouhan and Jafried Ahmed were also present.
