JKPPM warns to launch cross LoC movement

JAMMU, Feb 24: Jammu and Kashmir Pahari People’s Movement (JKPPM) today accused the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of not being sincere towards the demands of Pahari people whose population is over 20 lakh in the State.
In a statement issued here today it said that these people are mostly living in far flung and border areas and the community like other fields has also been ignored in the political field.
The Movement while accusing the coalition of totally neglecting and ignoring the Pahari people said that Movement has decided to meet their counterparts across the LoC and decide the future course of action for the welfare of the Pahari people living on the both sides of LoC.
The Movement in an appeal to Prime Minister has urged him to allow the community leaders to visit PoK. Addressing the meeting of the Movement today its Chief Executive, Shahbaz Khan and Vijay Kochar, general secretary Pahari Forum said that Government of India and Government of J&K have totally failed to redress their problems and settle their demands. By visiting across LoC they will launch a cross LoC campaign for the cause of Pahari community.
