JAMMU, Jan 28: To discuss the matter regarding imposition of hefty fine/ penalty by the JKBOSE authorities on the private school without displaying notification/circular on its official website, a meeting of the J&K Private Schools Association was held here today.
Members present in the meeting, alleged that JKBOSE instead of becoming facilitator, has turned into an exploiter and imposing fine/ penalty of Rs 2500 to 5000 per student for a minor correction or any minor error in the data uploaded in the portal of the JKBOSE by any of the school affiliated with it.
Schools having low strength now a days are facing a financial threat as most of the departments viz FFRC, Fire and Emergency, Municipal Committees etc. charge fee for the processing or issuance of NOCs which are needed for the affiliation/ recognition in addition to the affiliation fee, they added.
The PSA members lamented that all problems viz non adaptation of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act of 2011 by the different departments for delivery of all NOCs in time bound manners, tagging of students of private schools with the nearby Government schools, clubbing of the students of unrecognized schools with the recognized private schools/Government schools, nexus of the schools with the tutorials/coaching centers of dummy admission, charging of hefty dynamic affiliation fee on the basis of combined enrolment (9th ,10th ,11th & 12th) by the JKBOSE etc had already been highlighted many times but no action was initiated by any of the department till date.
Members unanimously appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene to save this employment generation venture form extinction and promote all pre existing private schools at par with the Mission YUVAA which is aimed for establishing JKUT as a hub of entrepreneurial excellence and employment generation.
