JAMMU Oct 26: A joint meeting of representatives of Private schools affiliated/ recognized by CBSE & JKBOSE was convened by the general secretary, Ajay Gupta of J&K Private Schools Association (PSA) here, today to deliberate on the irrational & unrealistic orders issued by the State Government & Fee Fixation Committee .
The meeting was presided over by president of the Association, Kamal Gupta, whereas Showkat Chowdhary, president J&K Joint Coordination Committee of Private Schools Kashmir Chapter and Arvind Mahajan spokesperson from CBSE Jammu Chapter were special invitees.
After a detailed discussion Kamal Gupta demanded immediate withdrawal or amendment in Order No. 493 FFC of 2018 dated 05/10/18 which is circulated in continuation to the Order No. 106FFC of 2017. He said that this new order is again based on the hypothetical presumptions an old rhetoric & this order has again failed to provide any relief to the stakeholders by the FFC because in this order the base year for the enhancement of fee is again August 2014.
Showkat Chowdhary, president JKJCCPS Kashmir Chapter briefed the members that Governor of the State in his meeting with the representatives of private schools at Kashmir has assured to grant balanced mechanism for the private educational institutions for their growth but till date confusion has not been cleared among the masses due to the failure of the clear cut policies of the State Government pertaining to the education.
Arvind Mahajan spokesperson from CBSE Jammu Chapter appealed to the Governor of the State to involve representatives of private schools from the three regions of the State while settling all ambiguous issues pertaining to the private educational institutions as all schools functioning in the State vary in their physical, geographical, economic and infrastructural conditions.
Presidents & other spokespersons of different associations after agreeing on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) decided to struggle collectively against the wrong polices of the State Government so as to make this venture of education flourish without any fear psychosis.
Prominent members who attended this conclave were Vishwa Mohan Sharma (Chairman JKPSA Udhampur), Ashwani Khajuria (president JKPSA Reasi), K.S. Jamwal (president JKPSA Samba ), Ajay Singh, Rajeev Salathia etc.
