JKRCEA celebrates Foundation Day

JAMMU, Nov 24: Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA), a conglomerate organisation of various socio-religious groups of the communities, retired employees forum, women, youth and students, celebrated its 4th   Foundation day in a function held at the Gurjar Desh Trust here today.
BR Dogra, chief engineer (Retd) was the chief guest and Dr Rahul, president Prabudh Bharat Foundation and Mohd Irshad Choudhary, SSP Railway were guests of honour on the occasion whereas, Sham Lal Basson, Sobat Ali, Shama Choudhary (all Corporators, JMC), Jameel Ahmed Kohli & Karan Kumar (BDC chairmen) and Mumtaz Ahmed Bajjar (Chairman, Muncipal Committee, Surankote) were special guests.

The participants in large number from across the region took part in the day long function, wherein problems of SC/ST/OBC’s and other reserved categories were discussed and deliberated during 1st session of the programme. Kali Dass, general secretary All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), Rameshwar Kumar, executive member JKRCEA and Mohd Bashir, Trustee, GDCT spoke during the session under the theme, “Gains & Losses to SC/ST/OBCs under JK Union Territory”. The speakers dealt in detail on the various issues confronting these communities in direct recruitment and promotion, reservation of OBCs, powers and functioning of constitutional bodies meant to safeguard the interests of these communities under the new system.
Dr Sanjay Kumar Bhasin, president JKRCEA while speaking on the occasion stressed for strong unity among SCs, STs & OBCs to jointly struggle for their constitutional rights. He also gave an update of case of reservation in promotions and apprised the members of SC/ST/OBC communities about the short term and long term goals of JKRCEA.
Dogra congratulated JKRCEA team for tireless efforts and the  hard work they have done in last four years to safe guard the constitutional rights of reserved categories. He assured his full support to team JKRCEA in its struggle.
Ramesh Kumar, Ashok Bansal, Dildar Choudhary and Assad Noomani  and Joinder Rais districts Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Chenab valley respectively; Abdul Rashid Fouji, District Poonch President of AIBCU and Dr. Rahul, President PBF, Phagwara also addressed the gathering.
To recognise the distinguished services, JKRCEA felicitated 39 BDC chairmen, Corporators, Sarpanches and social activists of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and OBC communities on the occasion.
