JAMMU, Dec 4: The Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA), a non-political organization of employees, retirees, youth, women and socio-religious groups in collaboration of Bhagat Mahasabha organized a meeting of unemployed youth and students at Domana in which discussion was held regarding constitutional rights for SC/ST/OBC’s and their implementation in J&K.
It was discussed at length regarding provisions of reservation for SC/STs and their improper implementation by the State Government. It was also stressed to vigorously counter those forces who want to end caste based reservation.
It was stressed by all speakers that in order to maintain communal harmony the State Government must keep check on such forces, vitiating peaceful atmosphere. It was resolved that the nefarious designs of some pseudo-secular organizations targeting reservation for SC/ST/OBCs want to create unrest in the province.
Bodh Raj Bhagat, senior vice president of Bhagat Mahasabha and active member of JKRCEA stressed upon the unity of SC/ST/OBCs for defeating nefarious designs of those who are hell bent upon suppressing these categories. He said that no stone shall be remained unturned to get the reservation in promotions implemented in J&K .
Dr Sanjay Bhasin, welcomed the student committees of Raipur Domana & Marh and deliberated on various constitutional rights of reserved categories. He also dwelt at length regarding SC/ST component plans for development of these communities.
A Block level committee of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories youth & students (JKRCYS) was constituted for Bhalwal & Marh Block to work at grass root level.
The committee included Joginder Bhagat, Sanjay Bhagat, Vicky, Dilber Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Varinder, Vinay, Ram Paul, Deepak, Shubam, Varinder and otjers.
