JKRTC retired employees warn to launch protest

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 17: All J&K RTC Voluntarily Retired Employees Association today warned the Government that if their bills are not prepared within a week’s time they will launch a strong protest against the dilly dallying policies of RTC.
The warning was given by the representatives of the Association led by Dev Raj Bali while talking to reporters here, today.
The Association said the volunteer retired employees of the organization have already suffered a lot over the years and during this struggle some of the retired employees also breathed their last for want of money as they could not afford the treatment for their diseases due to non payment of dues by the organization.
Bali alleged that the authorities of RTC are responsible for the losses suffered by the families of volunteer retired employees of the organisation.
He said the Government had issued an order recently for preparation of bills to release the pending dues of the voluntarily retired employees after the protracted struggle of the Association but it is unfortunate that some of the officers at the helm of affairs are adopting dilly dallying tactics in framing the bills which is a cause of concern for the retired employees.
Deep Raj, Mohinder Singh, Shiv Kumar, D N Sharma and others were also present in the press conference.
