I am writing to commend the Finance Minister’s recent announcement of Rs 37,277.74 crore grants for Jammu and Kashmir in the interim budget.
The allocation of Rs 500 crore for the Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project and Rs 476 crore for the Ratle hydroelectric project underscores the Government’s commitment to the region’s development. These funds, along with support for power projects in Kishtwar and disaster response, reflect a strategic approach to address key challenges. The significant financial commitment demonstrates the Government’s dedication to fostering growth and resilience in Jammu and Kashmir.
