SAMBA, Sept 20: Exuding confidence about big win to his party in the ongoing elections to the Legislative Assembly, Pradesh BJP vice president and the candidate for the Samba Constituency Surjeet Singh Slathia today said the momentum in Jammu and Kashmir’s transformation will gain further momentum post October 8 results.
Addressing election rallies at Ward number 3 and 4, and village Lantha, Slathia said the strong edifice of infra development and socio-economic empowerment laid post abrogation of Article 370 under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be carried forward with thrust on job creation, productivity, growth in various sectors and the vigorous implementation of various welfare schemes.
He said J&K has already proactively joined the country’s growth story that is hugely being acknowledged by the people across the Union Territory. “The focus of the BJP led Government at the Centre during the past decade in general and over the past five years in particular has been to steer out J&K from the difficult situation on security, economic and developmental fronts and to ensure equitable development of both the regions,” he said, adding this journey will continue with vigour.
Slathia assured continuation of efforts to remove the disparity between regions and sub-regions on the developmental front and opportunities for all to flourish in the true spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”. He said the people in this part of the country are for the first time having a feel of being at the centre stage of various schemes aimed at ameliorating their lot.
He urged the people to strengthen the BJP further to enable it to shoulder the responsibilities of consolidating peace and restoring complete normalcy in J&K. Slathia assailed the Congress for creating bottlenecks in developmental trajectory by weakening the inclusive spirit of the land of Dogras for their vested political interests.
Present on the occasion included, president BJP Samba Amar Singh, mandal president Ankush Gupta, DDC Ramesh Kumar and ex-Corporator Narinder Singh.
