JAMMU, Apr 5: Maintaining that Congress is the only party, which has capacity to resolve any issue, Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) appealed all the sections of Displaced Persons (DPs) of 1947 from PoK and Sikh Community to vote and support Congress candidates Madan Lal Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, working president, JKSAC, Gurudev Singh and secretary, Om Parkash, along with Prof Amrik Singh Sathi and Prof Harbans Singh said DPs and Sikh Community have always been cheated by various political parties that remained power either in Centre or State.
They said that people who were always voted to power by DPs or Sikh minority community in the hope that they will resolve their long pending legitimate issues of one time settlement and extension of national Minority Act 1992 of India to J&K State, have betrayed them.
They further rued that though DPs have certain genuine reservations against the coalition partners in the State especially Congress yet feeling exist among DPs that this (Congress) is the only party, which has the capacity to resolve any issue.
