JKSPA highlights demands

JAMMU, Apr 24: Jammu and Kashmir State Pensioners Association (JKSPA) in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its president, Krishan Singh while highlighting the outstanding grievances of employees and workers urged the Government to redress the long overdue grievances of pre and post 2006 pensioners which included release of four percent DA installment due from January this year.
It also demanded release of arrears unilaterally impounded for the period from January 2020 to June 2021 and rise in monthly Medical Allowance to at least Rs 1000 in view of continuously rising Medical expenses.
The meeting said that these demands will be vociferously raised during the May Day rally held at Shaheedi Chowk by All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation. The meeting urged the pensioners to participate in the rally in large numbers and show solidarity with cause.
During the rally among other demands protection of trade union rights , arrest of rising prices and other long pending issues of working class will be highlighted.
