JAMMU, Feb 11: Jammu Kashmir State Teachers’ Association (JKSTA) today highlighted their demands in its meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh, association president.
The meeting expressed anguish over the non-serious attitude of the higher-ups in the Education Department towards the demands and problems of teaching community.
The speakers reiterated their demands which include release of salaries of teachers working under SSA, RMSA, SBM, NPS at the earliest, repatriation of those Masters and Lecturers who have completed their five years service to their home districts, regularization of ReT teachers who have completed five years of service, release of cash-in-lieu in favour of retirees, etc.
The association appealed the Governor to intervene personally and fulfill their demands at the earliest.
