JKTA highlights issues, demands of teachers

UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: Monthly meeting of JK Teachers Association was held here today under the leadership of its UT President Bhupinder Singh and District President Udhampur Sudesh Kumar, for highlighting issues of teaching fraternity.
While speaking on the occasion, Bhupinder Singh raised the long pending issues of Teachers which include : Transfer Policy in favour of Teachers appointed under Ret Scheme (3rd Teachers ,Grade ll/lll Teachers) and particularly for female Teachers , inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits as same was given vide Govt Order No.469 Dated 25.06.2014 ; removal of pay anomaly of teachers; appointment of ZEOs in headless zones, conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III as some cases are withheld due to adverse CID reports on minor changes and appointment of ZEO in Zone Ramnagar.
He also demanded DPC of teachers to Masters and creation of posts of Masters in upgraded middle schools so that salary issue of head teachers be resolved; issuance of Diploma/ Marksheet to teachers who passed D Ed through NIOS online mode with less than 50 percent marks as the teachers with offline mode have received the same even having less than 50 percent marks and restoration of Old Pension Scheme in favour of teacher fraternity and other employees.
District President Udhampur Sudesh Kumar also spoke on the occasion and appealed Zonal Education officers of District Udhampur to resolve the pending problems of the teachers at Zonal level so that the teachers may not suffer.
On the occasion, Zonal Sr Vice President of TJAC of Zone Ramnagar Ajay Sharma joined JK Teachers Association.
