JKTA resents undue harassment of teachers

JAMMU, Oct 6: JK Teachers Association (JKTA) has expressed anguish against Government for the step mother treatment with Grade ll/lll teachers.
In a statement issued, UT president of JK Teachers Association Bhupinder Singh lambasted authorities for firstly misusing the guidelines of IMPACT training and now insulting one Grade II teacher in full public view by the Assistant Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Bilal Ahmed Bhat who was deployed in B2V in Village Arigam-A Tehsil Khansahib District Budgam as visiting officer.
Singh said that the teacher namely Abid Hussain posted at Primary School Peer Mohalla Arigam zone Khansahib was on duty assigned by department and the visiting officer insulted him on the basis of dress code in presence of public and other officials while the teacher was in decent dress.
Singh appealed the UT administration for taking an appropriate action against the Officer well in time otherwise JKTA will announce an agitation for the same in front of Divisional Commissioner office Kashmir.
He also raised the issue of suspension of zonal president JKTA Kalakot Kulbeer Singh by the Chief Education Officer Rajouri without any enquiry. “Kulbeer Singh who is posted at PS Sounchal was doing his duty as COVID-19 warrior under the control of Executive Magistrate but the CEO while giving reference of sharing the positive history of patient who was declared positive on July 10, suspended them whereas the then CEO Ram Saroop was responsible for the issue and the present CEO has taken charge after July 20,” the JKTA president said.
He warned CEO Rajouri to reinstate the suspension of Kulbeer Singh Grade ll Teacher and resolve all pending issues of teachers at district level within short span of time otherwise strong protest will be held in front of CEO office Rajouri.
