JAMMU, May 30: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by general secretary Ganesh Khajuria, called on Director School Education Jammu, S Ravinder Singh and presented him a memorandum highlighting various issues and demands for immediate consideration of the same.
In the memorandum, JKTF highlighted drew attention of the Director towards pending case of promotion of 572 Masters, who were left out on the pretext of written test. The Forum explained that the concept of written test of in-service teachers to the next promotion as Master/ Headmaster/ Lecturers is totally irrelevant and against the integrity and dignity of the teachers and the controversial order issued vide No. 66-Edu of 2017 dated 16.02.2017 is only meant to degrade and harass the teaching community. The JKTF also demanded framing a transfer policy in favour of Regularized ReTs and the inter district transfer policy in favour of female ReTs, removal of pay anomalies of Masters grade, regularization of Incharge Headmasters, ZEOs Lecturers, Principals and other officers, revival of Senior Teacher Grade in favour of under graduate teachers, relaxation of norms for regularization of contingent paid workers, issuance of GPF and salary statement pf all the employees, timely regularization of ReTs, , exemption of teachers from all non-academic duties, release of salary under SSA scheme, handing over Mid-Day meal to NGOs, provision of Muffasil allowance for the employees working in rural areas, etc.
The Director issued on the spot instruction to the concerned officers for redressal of some of the issue and also assured to look into remaining issues within shortest possible time.
