JKTF defers ongoing chain protest demonstrations

JAMMU, June 22: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) has deferred the ongoing chain protest demonstrations at different District headquarters till June 30.
Decision in this regard was taken after a JKTF delegation, led by Chairman Ganesh Khajuria met Principal Secretary School Education B K Singh, who assured that all the issues and demands shall be addressed within days.
According to a handout by the JKTF, threadbare deliberations were held regarding the discrepancies in the transfer list of Masters under ATD-2022. Ganesh Khujuria drew attention of the Principal Secretary towards flaws in the said list which have triggered chaos and confusion among the displaced Masters.
The Principal Secretary assured that all the issues and demands raised in the meeting shall be addressed within days as the lists of adjustment of promotee Headmasters and Lecturers in different subjects are also being released at the earliest.
Keeping in view of today’s developments, JKTF differed the ongoing chain protest demonstrations and the next course of action shall be decided by the central executive body in first week of July, said the handout.
