JKTF delegation calls on Director School Education

JAMMU, June 26: A delegation of central body of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), led by Ganesh Khajuria, State Chairman of the Forum, called on Director School Education Anuradha Gupta for raising various issues being confronted by the teaching community.
The delegation demanded regularisation of ReTs as RReTs who have completed five years of their satisfactory services, entertain the enhanced qualifications of ReTs acquired during their services tenure, conversion of undergraduate RReTs as the Tr Grade II and extend them the benefits of 7th Pay Commission, release the salary and 7th Pay Commission arrears in favour of Head Teachers/Masters at the earliest by utilising the vacant posts of RMSA Masters, Head Masters and Lecturers of Jammu Province.
The DSEJ told the delegation that the confirmation of ReTs as the RReTs shall be done within the next two days and the case of undergraduate RReTs into Tr Grade II was in pipeline. Regarding the issue of Head Teachers, the Director assured the delegation that the salary along with the pending arrears shall be released up to the end of this week.
Ganesh Khajuria also took up the issue of controversy arisen due to the order issued by DDC Kishtwar which has hurt the dignity and honour of the teaching community. The delegation apprised the DSEJ that the teaching community was already extending its full co-operation with all the district administration by performing many non academic duties from time to time and they have never back tracked from performing the duties assigned to them by the State and district administration.
After hearing the delegation patiently the DSEJ assured that the every step shall be taken to respect and maintain the dignity and honour of the teaching community. She appealed them to shun the path of confrontation and represent their grievances through the proper platform.
The delegation comprised of S Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, P D Singh, Mohd Ashraf, Mohd Imran, Raman Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Jamit Singh, Liaquat Hussain, Mohd Asid, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Mohd Iqbal, Wahid Azad, Mohd Wasarat, Ashok Singh, Yusuf, Mohd Asif Bhat, Raja Amjad, Liaquat Ali Khan, Ikhlaq Ahmed and others.
