JAMMU, Nov 15: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has expressed its serious concern over alleged insensitive attitude of the State Government towards the grievances and genuine demands of the teaching fraternity in J&K.
In a meeting of the Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of general secretary Ganesh Khajuria, the JKTF members highlighted their long pending demands, which include immediate adjustment of all 1193 Masters, who were promoted by the DPC in February 2014, release of salary grant under SSA, RMSA, NPS schemes, timely release of Mid-Day Meal grants and easing out norms for getting permission to undergo higher education by the in-service teachers.
“The Teachers and Masters, working in Jammu division are deliberately made juniors to their counterparts in Kashmir division by delaying the promotions under DPC,” said Ganesh Khajuria and appealed Education Minister to personally intervene and issue the necessary orders to place the employees of Jammu division at par with their counterparts of Kashmir division.
The meeting was attended by Rajinder Gupta, Kuldeep Singh, Gopal Singh, Surat Singh Toofani, Yog Raj Slathia, Ravinder Singh, Rajeshwar Sambyal, Subash Sharma, Charan Dass, Ram Parsad, Chhankar Singh, Haqiqat Singh, Sunil Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Rajesh Singh Slathia and others.
