JKTF demands benefits for Edu Deptt employees

JAMMU, May 15: Central body members of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its UT Chairman Ganesh Khajuria in which various burning issues of teaching community of the UT of J&K were discussed.
After the threadbare and detailed discussion, Ganesh Khajuria said that it is astonishing to note the strange attitude of the authorities towards the employees of Education Department.
He said that teachers, masters, lecturers, clerical cadres and CPW workers who are deployed or engaged during the COVID-19 pandemic are not covered for various benefits including release of monthly travel allowance, health insurance cover and other benefits which they are entitled at par with the employees of other departments.
Khajuria urged upon the higher authorities to take note of this injustice and resolve the issue immediately by issuing the necessary orders to the concerned officials to release the monthly travel allowance in favour of these employees of School Education Department and keep them under provision of other legitimate.
The meeting was attended by Yograj Slathia, Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Jamat Ali Agah, Rajinder Gupta, Ravinder Singh, Gopal Singh, Kuldeep Bandral, Hazi Mohd Iqbal, Raj Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Kuldeep Verma, Sushil Sharma, PD Singh, Sham Badyal and Goutam Singh.
