JAMMU, Feb 8: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) today stressed the Government for immediate release of salaries of teachers working under SSA, RMSA and NPS schemes.
In a meeting of the association which held here today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary of the Forum, and attended by all executive body members including district and zonal presidents, the speakers lambasted the authorities for their apathetic attitude towards teaching community.
They said that on one hand Government is claiming to provide protocol to the Nation builders and on the other hand teachers are kept without salaries for months together thereby demoralizing them socially and morally.
“Same is the case with other problems confronted to the teaching community, which have been brought into the notice of the authorities but not settled till now”, the speakers said.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting that a one day protest will be organized by JKTF in front of the office of Director School Education Jammu on February 15 in support of the teachers’ demands like immediate release of Master Grade Promotion list of February 2014 and adjustment of promoted Masters, removal of pay anomaly of Master Grade, framing transfer policy in favour of regularized ReTs and regularization of incharge lecturers and headmasters.
