JAMMU, Apr 24: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum (JKTF) today demanded the Government to release pending salaries of teachers appointed under SSA and RMSA.
The demand was highlighted by the members in a meeting of the Forum held under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur. The members also demanded release of 2nd and 3rd installment of 6th Pay Commission arrears in favour of SSA teachers, the adjustment of recently promoted Headmasters and Incharge Lecturers and permission of higher studies pending in the office of DSE Jammu for last many months.
The other demands raised by the speakers included providing free text books to summer and winter zones of Jammu Province, implementation of transparent and rational transfer policy and adjustment of all masters repatriated to their home districts after Model Code of Conduct.
The Forum also warned the authorities that no pick and choose policy will be tolerated in future.
