JKTF for removal of abnormalities in recent transfers of Masters

JAMMU, June 12: To discuss the consequences of Annual Transfer Drive-2022, an emergency virtual meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria.
The meet observed that ATD-2022 of Masters, issued on June 10 by the School Education Department has caused more confusion rather than providing relief to the aggrieved Masters. This ATD notice does not clarify who have assisted NIC to provide the data required for affecting transfers whether at the level of Directorates or SED Civil Secretariat?
The meet observed that the automaton process used by the NIC did not entertain the transfer request of the Masters who have completed the required tenure of stay and those whose request for transfer had been accepted don’t figure in the transfer list. Some Masters have been posted against the post/ vacancies of Teachers which is a sheer violation of the transfer policy, it added.
Ganesh Khajuria demanded clear cut instructions from the School Education Department for the home posting of Masters who are going to retire within one or two years for the settlement of their Pension cases. He appealed Principal Secretary School Education B K Singh to clearly delegate the powers to the concerned Directorates and concerned CEOs for affecting transfers as per the norms maintained in ATD and make them accountable so that Masters and Teachers do not suffer any more.
The Forum has decided unanimously to hold district level demonstrations in the first phase at Jammu and Srinagar districts on June 16 at 10.30 am at Press Club Jammu and Press Colony Srinagar. These demonstrations will be led by District Presidents of both Jammu and Srinagar.
Besides Ganesh Khajuria, the virtual meeting was attended Mohd Shafi Rather, S Surat Singh Toofani, Arsalan Habib, Darshan Sharma, S. avinder Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, B A Thoker, Raj Singh, Kuldeep Verma, Haji Mohd Iqbal, Subash Singh, P D Singh, Gautam Singh, Bharat Bushan, Bishan Sharma and others.
