JKTF highlights demands

JAMMU, May 19: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum (JKTF) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State general secretary, Ganesh Khajuria, to highlight their demands.
During the meeting, various leaders of the Forum highlighted the problems faced by the teaching fraternity. The main demands which were raised in the meeting included immediate release of salary grants in favour of teachers and masters working in the school funded by SSA scheme, adjustment of masters working in other districts since 2010 in their parent districts as also adjustment of newly promoted masters and headmasters within their parent districts.
The speakers also demanded an early release of salary grant for the schemes falling under the subhead plan; Increase in the honorarium of the ReTs to the level of Rs 10000 per month; Confirmation of those EVs who have completed seven years of service as teachers and the inclusion of five years of service of ReTs for promotional benefits.
Those who spoke on the occasion were Rajinder Gupta, Gopal Singh, Raj Singh, Gopal Sharma, Darshan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Raj, Narinder Singh Chib, Majid Choudhary, Shankar Singh, Digvijay Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Joginder Singh, Inderjeet Singh and many others.
