JKTF resents order of DC Kishtwar

JAMMU, June 18: Taking strong notice of the recent order issued by the DC Kishtwar, the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), strongly condemned this dictatorial order challenging the integrity of the teaching community.
In a press statement, a JKTF spokesman said that there is sufficient set up in the Education Deptt to check the punctuality and regularity in the schools and the heads of the institution, Zonal Education Officers, Chief Education Officers, Principals of DIETS, Principal SIE, Joint Directors, other higher authorities besides the monitoring teams constituted by the Education Deptt, who are doing their job very effectively and efficiently.
He said to issue such orders, challenging the integrity of teachers is direct attack on the dignity of dedicated officers in Education Department. The JKTF asked DC Kishtwar to allow the villagers and locals of district Kishtwar to check, monitor and countersign the attendance, regularity and punctuality of his own office and the other departments of District Kishtwar including the Departments of Revenue, Social Welfare, Accounts/Treasury, Agriculture, Forests, Transport, Rural Development & many others, under his jurisdiction.
JKTF appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik for his personal intervention to safeguard the respect, dignity and integrity of the teaching community. The Forum strongly condemned the dictatorial order of the DC and urged the State Govt to withdraw the same without any further delay.
