JKTF takes out rally, highlights demands

DODA, June 16: Demanding release of pending salaries of teachers and masters working under SSA, Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) took out a protest rally, here today.
Amid slogans, the teachers all across the district led by JKTF district president Hafizullah Khurwani assembled outside Chief Education Office (CEO) and started the rally, which after passing through various areas culminated at main bazaar.
While addressing the gathering, Hafizullah Khurwani flayed the Government for not conceding their demands, compelling them to adopt agitational path.
He demanded release of salaries of teachers and masters working under SSA, serve benefit to all ReT teachers, removal of pay anomalies of master and clerks.
Khurwani also demanded release of pending salary of masters and teachers working under plan, transparent transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers, posting of newly promoted masters and lecturers, re-organization of Education Department, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, 2+5 pattern for regularization of EVs, inclusion of service rendered as EVs, conversion/regularization of contingent paid workers (sweepers and watermen) and payment of enumeration of survey work talaash/census etc.
Among others present were district general secretary Jamait Ali Agah, district president ReT Sajjad Ahmed Malik and all presidents of different education zones including Bhagwah, Doda, Bhalla, Thathri, Gundna, Ghat, Assar, Bhaderwah, etc.
