JAMMU, Oct 9: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, under the leadership of Ganesh Khajuria, held a detailed meeting with H R Pakhroo, Joint Director and Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Personnel Officer at Directorate of School Education, Jammu and discussed various issues, particularly DPC for promotion of Teachers to Masters.
Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman of JKTF, said that the eligible Teachers should be promoted as Master before 20th of this month otherwise the Forum will have no option other than to go for agitation to get justice.
Khajuria hoped that the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, will issue the said list before the deadline and will avoid the way of agitation.
During the meeting, JKTF delegation also discussed other issues and demands, which include transition of Teachers Grade-II and Grade-III on substantive posts, suitable adjustment of the Lecturers in different streams who were repatriated from UT of Ladakh but are still awaiting for their adjustment, settlement of the cases of Earned Leave, etc.
Both the senior officers of DSE Jammu listened to the delegation and assured that all the issues shall be resolved on the priority basis at the earliest in order to provide justice to the teaching community. For the DPC, they assured that the list shall be issued within the time frame to give relief to the aggrieved Teachers who are waiting for more than eight years. For transition they assured that the directions would be issued to the respective CEOs to start the process at an earliest.
