JAMMU, June 28: The Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has urged the Lt Governor to personally intervene to resolve the long pending issues of the teaching fraternity in the J&K Union Territory at the earliest.
The appeal was made during an emergency meeting of the Forum, held through video conferencing under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, State Chairman, and attended by the Central Body members of JKTF.
The Forum requested to the higher authorities to frame a clear-cut policy for the regularisation of Rehbar-e-Khel cadre against the posts of the Physical Education Teachers to safeguard the interests of the students in general and the R-e-K teachers in particular and implement the Minimum Wages Act in their favour till they are regularised against the clear vacancies.
