JKTJAC demands resolution of burning issues

UDHAMPUR, Oct 2: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held here today under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning issues of the teaching fraternity and appealed the authorities to resolve the same. He raised the demand of transfer policy for teachers appointed under ReT scheme, particularly the female PReTs.
He also demanded conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III so that their salaries get released. Other demands highlighted on the occasion included, conversion of EVs to ReTs, conversion of headteachers posts into non plan posts of Masters, raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs, filling up of vacant posts of CEOs / Principals/ZEOs/Headmasters; holding DPC of Teachers to Masters, etc.
On the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar, Sukesh Khajuria and others highlighted issues of the teachers.
Among those present in the meeting, included Sham Parkash, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Shamsher Singh, Suresh Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Balvinder Singh, Manoj Sharma, Vipen Raina, Anil Sharma, Som Raj Sharma and others.
