UDHAMPUR, Jan 7: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Udhampur Lekh Raj Parihar, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma raised various genuine and burning issues of the teaching fraternity and appealed the authorities to resolve them amicably for the welfare of thousands of teachers of the UT.
Raising the issue of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, he appealed Administrative Secretary School Education for consideration of the genuine demand of transfer policy for the welfare of thousands of these teachers who have been serving in far flung areas. He also urged him the Administrative Secretary to accord approval to 24 inter district mutual transfer files , conversion of head teachers posts into non plan posts of Masters, clear cut directions from Administrative Department regarding providing permission to Teachers and Masters to enhance their qualifications and consideration of already accorded permissions by DSEJ/CEOs .
Other demands highlighted on the occasion, included: – Raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs; filling up of vacant posts of ZEOs and issuance of DPC list of Teachers to Master. He also demanded the settlement of GP fund (Refundable and non refundable) cases of teaching and non teaching staff of Education Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar demanded the release of Mid Day Meals dues which the teachers have managed from their own pockets as recently released amount was too short to meet out the already incurred expenses.
Others, who also spoke on the occasion, included Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Khazan Singh, Ashok Seth, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Bhushan Khajuria, Ajay Thakur, Suresh Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Swaran Singh , Ajaz Wani, Anil Sharma, Maan Chand, Manoj Sharma, Raman Sharma, Vipin Raina, Amit Sharma, Sudesh Singh, Parshant Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Som Raj, Sahil Sambyal, Sabar Banday and Flail Singh.
