JAMMU, Nov 10: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by its President Vinod Sharma, called on Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma in his office chamber and raised the burning issues of teaching fraternity.
The deputation demanded conversion of RReTs to Teachers Grade II/III by arranging a divisional level committee meeting so that eligible RReTs get their salaries,
JKTJAC also demanded regularization of ReTs whose files are lying in Directorate, release of more than two years salary in favour of RReTs who have not been converted to Teachers’ Grade II/ III due to various reasons, conversion of EVs to ReTs as they are suffering badly, providing enrollment/post facto permission in favour of teachers who are pursuing/ have pursued higher qualifications, resumption of mutual transfer cases of teachers Grade II/III, provision of earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/winter vacation for summer/winter camps and for other duties.
The Director listened to the deputation quite patiently and assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC leadership. He also said that divisional level committee meeting for conversion will be held on November 17. He also assured to issue DPC list within days.
The deputation comprised of Rajesh Jamwal (Provincial president), Sham Sharma (Utadv) , Sukesh Khajuria (UT Press Secretary), Lekh Raj Parihar (District President Udhampur), Ravinder Manhas (DP Jammu), Balwan Singh (DP Reasi), Bhupinder Gupta, Vinod Kumar, Vishal Sharma, Sandeep Kumar, Vipenkumar and others.
