JAMMU, Jan 7: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee, led by UT President Vinod Sharma and accompanied Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and Sham Sharma called on Advisor to Governor R R Bhatnagar in his office Chamber at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
While interacting, Vinod Sharma projected the various genuine issues of the teaching fraternity which include Transfer Policy in favour of Teachers appointed under ReT scheme as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 20 years.
He also demanded inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits as same was given vide Govt Order No.469 Dated 25.06.2014, removal of pay anomaly of teachers, regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period, appointment of ZEOs in headless zones, conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III, release of pay and other arrears of RRETs prior to September 2018, DPC of Teachers to Masters and creation of posts of Masters in upgraded middle schools.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to resolve all the issues projected by the JKTJAC leadership.
Later the deputation also met with Administrative Secretary School Education B K Singh and projected before him all the genuine issues. He also assured to redress each and every issue.
Meanwhile a deputation of JKTJAC, led by its provincial president Jammu Rajesh Singh Jamwal, met with Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta and put forth the problems faced by the teachers, especially the regularisation of RETs who are waiting for the same for a long time.
Sajad Malik, District president Doda, Manzoor Khan DP Rajouri, Vivek Manhas and Naseer Ahmed accompanied Rajesh Jamwal in the deputation.
