JAMMU, July 21: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by UT President Vinod Sharma, today called on Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma in his office chamber and raised the burning issues of the teaching fraternity.
The deputation presented a memorandum to the director, highlighting the demands like conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III by arranging a divisional level committee meeting, consideration of cut of date of CID verification for conversion, regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in DSEJ office, conversion of EVs to ReTs, provision of earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/winter vacation for summer/winter camps and for other duties.
JKTJAC also demanded providing DDO powers to headless zones/schools, resumption of mutual transfer cases of teachers Grade II/III, consideration of mutual transfer of 3rd teachers and RRETs with Teachers Grade II/III, issuance of 2nd DPC list of Teachers to Masters and release of MID DAY MEAL dues of last financial year.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC leadership, including DPC of Teachers to Masters.
Later, the deputation also visited Civil Secretariat Jammu.
Those who comprised the deputation included Surjit Chib, Rajesh Singh Jamwal, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Ravinder Manhas, Lekh Raj Parihar, Sajad Malik , Ashiq Jaral, Mudasir Mughal, Arshad Abdullah Batt, Balwan Singh, Mohit Jamwal, Poonam Singh, Madan Lal, Daleep Singh, Sohan Singh and others.
