JKTJAC highlights demands, issues of teaching fraternity

UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) today held its monthly meeting at Udhampur under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by the JKTJAC representatives from all the eleven zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning and genuine issues of the teaching fraternity and appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Principal Secretary School Education Department for the resolution of the same.
The meet demanded provision of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years in service, conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III, conversion of EVs to ReTs, conversion of Headteachers posts into non plan posts of Masters to resolve the salary issue, raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs, raising Grade of teachers promoted as Incharge Lectures at par with their counterparts promoted from Masters, relieving teachers from all sorts of non teaching assignments, etc.
Lekh Raj Parihar demanded intervention of Chief Education Officer Udhampur in updating of service records of the teachers in some zones.
The meeting was attended by Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Bhushan Khajuria, Shamsher Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Suresh Sharma, Anil Sharma, Vipin Raina, Parshant Sharma, Sudesh Kumar, Ajit Singh, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Mohd Mustafa, Deepankar Sharma, Raj Kumar, Flail Singh, Rajiv Dubey , Som Raj, Ravinder Atri, Romesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Tilk Raj Sharma, Ashok Mathur, Vinod Kumar, Ram Paul, Partap Singh, Kuldip Singh, Abdul Gani , Narinder Dogra, Joginder Tripathi and others.
