JKTJAC raises burning issues of teaching cadre

UDHAMPUR, Feb 6: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was organized here today under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma raised burning issues of the teachers and sought attention of the concerned authorities for their redressal. The issues which were raised by Vinod Sharma included; comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, transition of Teachers Grade II/III on substantive posts as per seniority as per Govt order No. 20 Education of 2019 Dated 22.01.2019, inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits, provision of old pension scheme in favour of NPS employees, DPC of teachers to Masters as same hasn’t been done since February 2014 thereby leading stagnation.
He also demanded conversion of Headteachers (SSA) posts into non plan posts of Masters for the resolution of their salary issue, raising of Grade pay of teachers at par with their counterparts in other UTs and filling of posts of ZEOs and other DDOs so that salary of the employees be released in time.
During the meeting, senior leader of Zone Jib Anil Sharma was elevated in District body as Joint Secretary.
Those who spoke on the occasion, included Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswam, Chain Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Anil Sharma and others.
