JKTJAC urges Govt to resolve genuine issues of teaching fraternity

JAMMU, Nov 10: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was organised, here today under the leadership of its UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting, attended by executive members and representatives of JKTJAC from all the 11 zones of the district, discussed various issues of the teaching fraternity.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma appealed the newly formed Government to resolve genuine issues of the teaching fraternity for the welfare of thousands of these teachers, especially those appointed under ReT scheme.
He appealed the Education Minister to get implemented Govt Order No.469 Edu of 2014 Dated 25.06.2014 regarding inclusion of five years ReT period for seniority benefits and transfer of the said cadre. He also appealed the Government to replace New Pension Scheme with the Old Pension Scheme.
Other demands highlighted by the JKTJAC included, regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period; conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III; benefit of Cash in Lieu in favour of teaching fraternity; conversion of Headteachers posts into non plan posts of Masters; one more DPC of Teachers to Masters; adjustment of recently promoted Masters, release of time barred arrears of Teachers/Masters; raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs; earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/ winter vacation; filling up of vacant posts of ZEOs, Principals, Headmasters.
Speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar urged the Chief Education Officer Udhampur to release the MDM dues which the teachers have managed from their own pockets. He also urged the CEO to intervene in the matter of completion of service records of the teachers in many zones of the district besides release of dues of the teachers which is matter of great concern.
Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Vijay Sadhotra, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Anil Sharma, Manoj Sharma, Sudesh Kumar, Vipin Raina, Rakesh Singh, Parshant Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Suresh and others also spoke on the occasion.
