KATHUA, Jan 28: In order to discuss their burning issues, a meeting of Executive members of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held here today.
The meeting was held under the leadership of District President Kathua Rakesh Singh, in which UT President Vinod Sharma was the Chief Guest, while Provincial President Rajesh Jamwal, UT Secretary Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, UT Chief Coordinator Arvind Sharma, UT spokesperson Mahesh Kumar, UT Coordinator Khazan Singh, Provincial Chief Publicity Secretary Pankaj Verma, District President Jammu Ravinder Singh Manhas and District Chief Spokesperson Udhampur Bhushan Khajuria were the special invitees.
Speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma raised and highlighted various issues of the teaching fraternity with other members of the association.
Sharma further urged upon the LG administration to resolve their issues including, conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III, Regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period, Transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme who have been working in the same schools for last more than two decades, Permission to acquire higher qualifications by teachers/masters, Earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer / winter camps and for other duties during summer/winter vacation, Release of time barred arrears( more than 2 years) of the teachers Raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs, old Pension Scheme in favour of employees of the UT and release of pending Mid Day Meals dues which the teachers have managed from their own pockets.
