JAMMU, Jan 24: J&K Tourist Trade Peoples Federation (JKTTPF) has demanded development of pilgrimage tourism in J&K.
In a press conference here today Mahesh Chander Padha, Federation leader said that train going to Kashmir very soon will hit the business interests of Jammu tourism industry.
He appealed to CM Omar Abdullah and Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to develop the pilgrimage tourism sector of J&K and bring the shrines like Pingla Mata in Ramnagar, Chauntra Mata in Majalta, Sukrala Mata in Billawar, Chichi Mata in Samba, Bawe Wali Mata in Jammu along with other shrines on tourism map.
Padha also said that there is no policy with the Government to divert the visiting pilgrims to other destination of J&K.
He informed that from March month this year, the Federation will start road shows for two months in every district of Jammu to aware the masses about the importance of tourism.
“We will also meet the CM and others for developing the pilgrimage tourism in Jammu,” Padha continued.
Amit Kesar, Anil Kumar, Rattan Lal Sharma, Joginder Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Suresh Kumar and Babu Ram were also present in the press conference.
