JAMMU, June 22: Ahead of Amarnath Yatra, Jammu and Kashmir Tourist Trade People’s Federation has constituted its Rail Head Complex Unit for rendering its good services to the visiting pilgrims.
This was informed by Mahesh Padha, founder of JKTTPF, while talking to media persons and highlighting the initiatives of the Federation being taken in the wake of forthcoming Amarnath pilgrimage from June 27.
“Like the last three years during Amarnath Yatra, our organization is going to organize information booths at the Base Camp in Bhagwati Nagar and in Jammu Haat where the visiting pilgrims will be informed about all the local sight scenes of Jammu and its adjoining areas like Mansar and Surinser lakes, Suchetgarh border, Akhnoor Fort, Chenab river etc,” he said.
Mr Padha said that the Federation, which has more than 5000 members who include Travel Agents, Taxi Operators, Tour Operators, Tourist Guide, Hotel and Lodges workers etc, was fully geared up for rendering its good services to the visiting pilgrims.
“Keeping in view the importance of Jammu Railway Station for the visiting pilgrims, we have constituted the Federation unit for Rail Head Complex,” he explained and announced the office bearers of the unit.
Bilal Khan has been appointed as chairman of the unit and Pardeep Kumar as president while Avinash Sharma, Ferdos Ahmed and Gopal Singh Sambyal have been given the post of general secretary, senior vice-president and vice-president, respectively.
Amit Sharma, Arun Manhas, Rakesh, Bua Ditta and Sarbjeet Singh have been appointed as secretary, organizer, spokesman, joint secretary and publicity secretary, respectively.
Anjum Sharma, State vice-president of the JKTTPF, has been appointed as incharge of the Rail Head Complex unit.
