JKUSTA holds meeting

SAMBA, Mar 25: Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (JKUSTA) held a meeting at Vijaypur in district Samba today.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Raj Kumar, district president, JKUSTA and general secretary, Sanjeev Kumar. Addressing the meeting they said that the State Government continues to neglect the teachers. They warned to hold protest outside the Press Club, Jammu on March 29. Addressing the meeting, the provincial head of the Association, Hari Singh condemned the Government and said that the head teachers have not paid the last four to five months salary to the teachers working in the Rehbr-e- Taleemm and they are on the verge of starvation.
Demanding immediate release of their wages and benefits of Seventh Pay Commission in favour of the teachers who worked under Head Teacher and Rehbr-e- Taleem Grade 2, he said failing which they will come to streets. They were also demanding immediate regularization of Under Graduate Rehbr-e- Taleem teachers and starting of primary classes in Government schools.
Among others present included Sunil Thappa, Ravi Kant,Sham Lal, Madan Singh, Pardeep Singh, Lakvinder Singh and Subash Kumar.
