JAMMU, Jan 1: Park at Sector 2, Channi Himmat here in Ward 50 was today handed over to Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in the presence of Neena Gupta, JMC Councillor of the Ward.
On this occasion, Atul Gupta, Secretary (Parks) briefed on the motive of handover of the Park and periodic maintenance works to be taken up by JMC.
A team of Gardeners was also deputed to start the trimming of plants while the sanitation staff of JMC was also present on this occasion.
The JMC Councillor listened problems of the locals and assured their redressal.
She also assured execution of some civil works which she noted during her visit of the Park and its surroundings.
On spot instructions were given to Sanitation staff to work on the expectations of the public.
About 40 locals of the area mostly women were present on the occasion.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Trishla Gupta, Poonam, Kamalesh Magotra, Sushila Gupta, Pawan Kumar, Ward president; Jyotsna, Gopal Sharma, Sanjay Gupta, Hitesh Gupta, M.S Kapoor and others.
